I have 2 partitions upon a 300Gb SATA drive.one assign (50gb) is now dull though a alternative (250gb) has my Vista OS installed. we put in my windows hoop only to see what i could do, as well as theres an choice to undo comparison partition. So im wondering if i chose this option, will it simply mix a partitions as well as leave all a data?

If you are trying to extend your OS partition to occupy the entire 300gigs, there’s programs that will do it for you. Years ago I used to use a program called “partition magic” on my fat32 drives. I’ve never used them on ntfs drives, but I would expect that these programs have “kept up with the times”, so to speak.
Yes, but if you delete it that will amount as just empty space.
if you know how, I would burn ‘gparted’ to a disk, and use that to delete and move your partition space.
if I recall correctly the partition manager on the windows disk is very basic and wont be able to preform a combine of space. note that it takes a good hour, hour & a half just to move a single partition. so make sure you have time.
It will simply delete the partition without affecting the other partition. However, it will not extend the partition into the new empty space. To do that, you’ll have to go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Disk Management, and extend the partition.
Just reformat the partition in question.
If you want to save all the files, simply copy them all from one partition to the other, then delete the empty partition.
yes it will you can delete partitions but not create them without wiping your hard drive
I believe you can not just delete a partition. But I still would advise you to back up first and then try it. Good luck
